The high performance P-40 Warhawk electric foamie RC plane from Phase 3 (for intermediate to advanced pilots) is powered by an efficient and powerful brushless motor and 3-cell Li-Po battery.  It looks fantastic in the air, has great flight characteristics. and the retractable landing gear adds to the fun.  It comes factory assembled, includes factory-installed micro servos, ailerons, elevator, rudder, retracts and a LiPo Battery Field Charger - just add your own radio transmitter (5-channel or more) and receiver.

History: The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk may have been America's best fighter plane at the time of America's entry into WWII in 1941. It first flew in 1938 and was a single engine, single seat, all metal fighter and ground attack plane. Over 13,000 were built from 1938-1944 when production ceased. It was used by most of the allied powers during World War II and was flown by the air forces of 28 nations. It was most famous for its use in China while flown by American volunteers against the Japanese in a group nicknamed The Flying Tigers under the leadership of Clare Chinault. The American pilots were successful using tactics created by Chinault that gave them the best chance for success against the Japanese planes and pilots. The P-40 was famous for the menacing shark teeth painted on the cowl. The Phase 3 model has the same shark teeth markings on the cowl and American markings elsewhere.  "Warhawk" is the name the United States Army Air Corps adopted for P-40's.
