Impulse cells are constructed in a way that is more tolerant to run away failures common with lesser cells of the LiPo type. The Impulse cells use a little more raw material to achieve this, with no significant penalty in terms of weight and size. There are smaller and lighter cells available, but none offer the combination of factors you will find in these Impulse cells, which make them ideally suited to our RC models' requirements.

Impulse packs are assembled using PCB boards to prevent unwanted shorting that can occur in packs that only use tape. The design and assembly ensures that flexing does not occur, which could result in the tabs breaking. The ends of the pack are protected using a small foam pad and a tough heatshrink sleeve is applied. Power cables are selected to suit the rated output and securely soldered to the PCB. The cables are taped to the pack along its length to prevent flexing at the joint. There are no plugs installed on the cables to let the buyer choose the plugs that are best for them. The balance plug is common to all Impulse packs and is suited to most of the balance chargers currently in the market. It is securely soldered to the PCB.
